My daughter prefers boardshorts rather than skirts and regular swimsuit bottoms. She loves these as the pocket is large and can hold many of the shells she collect. Rinse out easily and wash great and keep their shape and size.I wear these for water aerobics. They cover more bottom than a swimsuit. Very comfortable and quick dry.I wanted some board shorts that were comfy to go with my swim top. Did not fit me well. Returned them.I give this two stars because the sizing is (somewhat) accurate and the fabric is quite soft. On the downside, they're very thin and feel flimsy. I bought them because they had a liner, yet the liner is totally useless. Not sure how the size of the liner was decided. I'm guessing it was either made for a small child or maybe it's meant to be a thong? Not sure... Either way, it's going back.
