The reviews were misleading about the size!!! I read all the reviews and ordered up 1 size. That was a mistake. I'm 5'6'', weigh 145 pounds, bottom heavy for sure, so ordered a large instead of a medium. I have to tighten up the draw string as far as it will allow - and still the shorts are slipping down on my waste; the shorts look ridiculous after wearing for a few hours (they stretch a bit). I tried to shrink them in the dryer but of course, prAna is such high quality that the shorts wont shrink.The quality is excellent - just like the reviews indicate.I am on a Dragonboat team and needed some black shorts that are quick drying and comfortable. These are perfect. The fit is great but maybe a little roomy for some people. I ordered the XS, I am 5'3" and about 112 pounds with an athletic build. The only thing I don't like is the drawstring. It looks cute with a bikini top or sports bra, but makes any other shirt puff out. You can remove it but then you are relying on only velcro to keep the shorts closed. Despite that, I ordered two more shorts in Sail Blue and Fuchsia and I wear them a lot.The draw cord is a plain flat wide black ribbon tied in a bow. I was disappointed it did not have the multicolored braided cord picturedNice quality board shorts, which is expected from this brand. They are sized smaller than most Prana bottoms, so ordering 1-2 sizes up is a good idea.These are sooo stretchy! I own several pairs of board shorts, but a lot of them aren't stretchy, which can make it difficult to lift your legs when water skiing or surfing. These shorts fit true to size, are a great length for active sport waters, and have the stretch you need to move your legs. I love them! My only critique is that I wish the drawstring was on the inside.I feel like these run big. I'm not normally an xs but I could have gone that way. 5'7" 130 just to give you an estimate.Fabric provides room to move which is perfect when canoeing or kayaking. Only downside is the pocket is too small.Love them and I’m getting ready to order another pair. I love the prana brand . As far as size about the correct size for me, what I always buy from prana and it fit perfectly! Love them , they were exactly what I was looking for. They are stretch, quick drying materials perfect for water sports. Awesome , good job Prana.Love the fit and the material. Perfect for any outdoor activity in the summer!
